About Kristin
In December 2009, my husband, Chris Cooper, and I were in a car accident that took his life. An 18-year-old girl who was texting and driving missed a turn in the highway, over-corrected, and crossed four lanes of traffic to hit us head on - sending us flipping and rolling hundred of yards. Through the grace of God, I survived the accident and our little girl was not in the car. A text message stole our lives in an instant, and the other driver’s as well.
In the weeks after the accident, I used my writing as a way to chronicle my journey of learning to live my life without Chris. This blog is about that journey - as a young widow, a single mother to a beautiful 2 year old girl, and a true believer that God's hand is directing my days.
In May 2011, I was blessed to marry Will King, and God has continued to be faithful to my family. We have a life of adventure, of love, and of light. My hope is that my words will encourage you to pray, to seek, and to contend for the life that you were created to live.
